Meet Reverend Corrie Gustafson
Corrie grew up in Ohio but in adulthood has made homes in California, British Columbia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Hawaii, and Florida. She currently serves as a chaplain at Covenant Village of Florida, which is a large and vibrant retirement community.
Corrie began her career working with young adults and college students, followed by several years as a congregational minister specializing in pastoral care. Along the way she completed an internship and residency in Clinical Pastoral Education and worked as a hospital, hospice, and school chaplain.
Corrie’s fundamental beliefs are: God is Good, friends are family, life has a soundtrack (stuffed with 80’s music), and laughter heals.
This blog is a series of reflections and explorations of God, family, faith, iconic moments, striking images, and cultural phenomena — all of which the author carries close to her in a sort of metaphorical purse.
