Do Women Have to Be Twice as Good as Men?

Guest blogging elsewhere this week. I took a big swing with this one… Maybe I shouldn’t have done that the week right after Easter with tired-pastor-brain. Feel free to leave a comment here or there.

Do Women Have to Be Twice as Good as Men?

  1. Well presented, even on post-Easter brain. Looks like the first sentence in the third paragraph may mean to say, “For *men* who have paid ministry positions…” instead of women?

  2. Right on, sister! In 42 years at pbc, I have seen it. Risky topic but the truth can be uncomfortable.

What you are bringing to us uniquely is needed inclusion (demonstrated as Sunday host), facing pain in the church family that male pastors avoid (abuse, Good Friday service for the loss of children), and asking hard questions.

Thanks be to God for your courage. Dorothy
